Working Hard
A couple have months have passed since my last post. I've been extremely
busy with my Access course, and it's only going to get worse. I have 11 weeks
left of my course and 12 weeks worth of assignments to complete. My time
management has been dreadful. However, I am determined to plough through and
meet my deadline... it can be done!
I have just finished off a Physics assignment on Radiology, which I found very interesting and enjoyed learning more about my future profession in terms of the different modalities of imaging and the physics behind how they work. Physics was never my strong point and it has been over 10 years since I studied it at school, so it's fair to say a lot of it went over my head to begin with. However, studying is all about finding out information you never knew before and although it was difficult, I took a lot of satisfaction out of it in terms of my progression. I can now safely say I have an understanding of medical physics - only very basic, of course. I've only scratched the surface - but an understanding nonetheless; it's knowledge I will keep with me and which will help me when starting my degree.
Next up, yet another physics assigment, titled; 'Medical Uses of Radioisotopes'... sounds daunting! Once again, I am looking forward to the challenge and discovering more knowledge. I dare say it will be difficult - when is physics never difficult? - but I'm determined to work hard and most importantly, stick to my deadline!
After uploading my completed assignment, I had a look over all my grades I have received to date, and it occured to me; I am so very close to meeting the conditions of my offer for university. I'm only 2 assignments away to fulfilling the majority of the requirements, so from my next 2 assignments I will need at least a Merit and a Pass, which I'm 100% confident I will achieve, and from there on in it's all about passing. I will have gained all the Merits and Distinctions required which I very proud of.
So, it's time for me to get my head down and crack on. I will post another update in about 2-4 weeks. =)
